Cherie has been working with children for over 12 years and loves every minute of it.  Her background includes an undergraduate degree in dance and psychology, a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and several years of teaching dance/movement classes to children.  She enjoys working collaboratively with families and respects the individual needs of each child and family while placing significant value on the special abilities that child has to offer.  She is a playful and creative therapist whose connection with the children makes their sessions fun and motivating, leading to success in their areas of need.  Cherie uses an eclectic approach to providing OT in order to individualize therapy to each child, family, and situation.  She has provided services with children who have a wide variety of abilities.  She is committed to ongoing professional development and has completed training in Sensory Processing, DIR/Floortime, S.O.S. Feeding program, Conscious Discipline, Therapeutic Listening, and Connecting with Touch.
