• Child should be fever free for 24 hours (without fever reducing medications) before returning to the clinic.
  • Fever is a temperature over 100.4 degrees
• No vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to the clinic
• Child should not come to therapy if home from school due to an illness
• Child should not come to therapy if they have a highly transmissible illness, until their illness is no longer contagious  – examples are:
  • Pink eye 
    • can return to the clinic when eye drainage is gone
  • Head lice *(MUST CALL THE OFFICE BEFORE BRINGING CHILD IN)* 
    • must be 24 hours since initial lice hair treatment
    • child must have no live lice in hair
  • Whooping cough
  • Strep throat 
    • can return to clinic once on antibiotics for 24 hours
  • Hand foot mouth
  • Ringworm
  • Pinworms
  • Chicken Pox
• If a child has a fungal infection called athlete’s foot, please notify the office so we can decide if the child can come to the clinic.  The child must wear socks in the case of being treated for athlete’s foot.
• If a close caregiver/family member in the household is sick, closely monitor your child for any symptoms of illness.  If your child is not displaying any symptoms, they can attend their session.  We encourage your child to wear a mask if they are recovering from an illness, if a family member is ill and/or there is an illness going around in your home.   

If your child has Covid-19 symptoms or has tested positive for Covid-19:

Child can return to the clinic when ALL of the following are met:

• fever free for 24 hours (without  fever reducing medications)
• ​fever is a temperature over 100.4 degrees
• at least 5 days from when the initial symptoms began
• minimal respiratory symptoms
• encouraged to wear a mask for at least 10 days since initial symptoms began
  

If a close caregiver/family member in the household tests positive for Covid-19:

• closely monitor your child for any symptoms of illness
• your child can come to therapy as long as there are no signs of symptoms of illness
•  encouraged to wear a mask
